I am Rakshith. I was working at an NGO after completing my MSW. The work was mainly to treat the workers and low wagers. I was not very much satisfied with the job. Therefore, I quit my job and started my own NGO with my friends. Friends, who have been with the company were unable to stay since they could not make a living put of this new established organisation. I was alone taking care of the whole company. There were no government or private projects available to us because the agency was new. Although I visited number of government or private departments to look for projects that our agencies can offer. But failed and felt unstable with fear and inability.
Thus, one day I visited the department of youth empowerment and the sports and I saw the nameplate of Yuva Spandana Kendra and I went inside. Yuva Samalochaka told me about the services of the Yuva Spandana Kendra and gave some books related to Yuva Spandana Kendra. Upon seeing all of it, I realized that it was Yuva Samalochaka who guides young people to solve their own problems under Yuva Spandana Kendra.
I shared my problems with Yuva Samalochaka and enquired if they provide guidance. After listening to my problem, Yuva Samalochaka guided me very patiently. After a brief discussion, I had come to a realisation that I needed to be financially strong and then plan for social service. Yuva Samalochaka helped me in finding new jobs. I had applied for a job and attended interview as well. Once I get a job, I can think of starting my own NGO.Â
Once my decision was questioned, I became aware of what I was doing wrong. It motivated me to take right steps and achieve my goals. I have complete confidence that I will start my own NGO once I get settled and have some contacts. I am indebted to Yuva Spandana for right guidance at the right time.Â
