My name is Rangaswamy. I am 34 years old and I have been working as a mercenary worker. My son had a hearing problem since he was three years old. We treated him in a government hospital and purchased a hearing machine for him. But it stopped working after two years and we did not have the money to buy a new one. We did not know how and where to get a hearing machine. I found myself helpless since my child is unable to hear anything.
In this situation, my elder son had told me about Yuva Spandana program. A program had been organised in his school. I visited our district Yuva Spandana Kendra in hopes of getting help from this program. Yuva Samalochaka at Yuva Spandana Kendra warmly welcomed us and asked the reason for the visit. I explained my financial condition and my son’s problem. Yuva Samalochaka listened to us patiently and reassured us that there is solution to every problem.
After listening to everything, Yuva Samalochaka had suggested us to the department of disability welfare where we would get better help. They referred us to the department of disability welfare. So, I took my son to the department of disability welfare. A scenor doctor at the department had examined my child and within 15 days he provided him the hearing machine. I thank Yuva Spandana Kendra who gave me the information about these facilities and gave the solution to my problem.
