My name is Harish. I am 17 years old and studying PUC. I have two siblings and I am the elder one. Financially, our family is not strong enough. Our main occupation is agriculture. My father has given us all that we have asked for and he wanted us to have good education. He wanted to see us in a good position or place in society. At some point, my father went broke. We somehow adjusted money for time being.
Because of this, I started to worry about my father, family, other siblings. I could not focus on my studies. I started losing interest in studies. I began to think that it is my fault that my father is facing difficulties and I will never be able to fulfill his desire. I felt like I was committing a sin by not doing anything.
I was in a dilemma when I heard about Yuva Spandana program. I visited Yuva Spandana Kendra. Yuva Samalochaka has invited and enquired about my reason to visit the Kendra. I shared my situation and what I was going through. They asked about my family members, my interest, my hobbies, practices etc.
After a brief talk, they discussed about my study practices. I slowly got to know that, I was mixing my studies and my family problems all together. If I focus on my studies, study well and get good marks, I will be able to have a good job where I can help my father. Yuva Samalochakas taught me some of the techniques for concentration. Also, whenever I got time off study, I started helping my father in agriculture. Though my problems in life have not changed much, the way I look at the problem now has completely changed. I heartily thank Yuva Spandana program for all the guidance and help.
