My name is Madhumathi. I am studying diploma. Every day, me and my friends used to go to a tea shop. I happened to make friends with the tea-selling guy. After few months of friendship, we fell in love. My family got to know about our love and started abusing me. The pressurised me to stop meeting him and started checking my phone for his messages and calls regularly. If at all I returned home late, they started insulting me.
Meanwhile, I started losing focus on my studies. My NSS officer noticed changed behavior and my inability to focus on my studies. Since he was my favorite teacher, I explained everything about what I was going through. He referred me to Yuva Spandana Kendra. Yuva Samalochaka spoke individually and asked me to explain my situation. I explained everything about me falling in love with the boy, my parents abusing me, and my inability to focus on my studies. Yuva Samalochaka listened to me very patiently and calmly. She made me understand the intensity of the situation.
Carefully, she made me understand that the love that I had for the boy was not wrong, but I need to understand the difference between love and attraction. Later, she explained the difference. If it is love, then probably after three years, once I complete my studies, it would be even stronger, and I can take a firm decision without any age limitation.
Once Yuva Samalochaka spoke to me, she also spoke with my parents. Discussed with them separately. After discussion, she referred me to Department of women and child welfare. Currently, I am continuing my studies under the department of women and child welfare. I heartily thank Yuva Spandaka Kendra.
